.Sleepy Little Binda Town.

Haven't escaped to Narrabinda for a long time and i feel its about time.
My parents farm is a perfect escape from the rat-race of Sydney..
The views are magic, the sunsets are even better, and the sound of silence
just blows you away.
Already planning my next road-trip in my head.......

Sound of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel
Hello darkness, my old friend

I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence

"Fools", said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
And echoed
In the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls"

And whispered in the sounds of silence

The Fox and the Child

If you are looking for a beautiful film to watch
i highly recommend The Fox and the Child
a Luc Jacquet film.
The cinematography will blow you away as well as the friendship
between the two.
Im no movie critic but this film is mind blowingly beautiful .

Marvellous Mr. Cave

Abattoir Blues

The sun is high up in the sky and I'm in my car
Drifting down into the abattoir
Do you see what I see, dear?

The air grows heavy. I listen to your breath
Entwined together in this culture of death
Do you see what I see, dear?

Slide on over here, let me give you a squeeze
To avert this unholy evolutionary trajectory
Can you hear what I hear, babe?
Does it make you feel afraid?

Everything's dissolving, babe, according to plan
The sky is on fire, the dead are heaped across the land
I went to bed last night and my
moral code got jammed
I woke up this morning with a Frappucino in my hand

I kissed you once. I kissed you again
My heart it tumbled like the stock exchange
Do you feel what I feel, dear?

Mass extinction, darling, hypocrisy
These things are not good for me
Do you see what I see, dear?

The line the God throws down to you and me
Makes a pleasing geometry
Shall we leave this place now, dear?
Is there someway out of here?

I wake with the sparrows and I hurry off to work
The need for validation, babe, gone completely
berserk
I wanted to be your Superman but I turned out such a
jerk
I got the abattoir blues
I got the abattoir blues
I got the abattoir blues
Right down to my shoes

Sunday Afternoon Dress Ups

Playing Favourites....

I usually don't play favourites with friends..
but that guy there... is my greatest , most favourite of the bunch...
He makes me laugh.. we have been friends for soooo long and look forward to much more..

Night Swimming and Tealight Candles..

Fat Freddy's Drop - Del Fuego
We can only watch and learn,
Home and fortunes light as burnt,
And when the ash is cold,
and the fading glow,
Don't let your pride feed the fire.
It was never within your control.
Lastnight I was lucky enough to celebrate the heat and the full moon
and the birth of my mother's new fairy pond surrounded by my beautiful friends...
We swam in the moonlight, sipped icy beverages, listened to amazing New Zealand soul,
and giggled....

Into the Wild

Headpiece -

*A typically thin metallic [[Crown (headgear)|crown]], headband, or [[tiara]] worn around the forehead. Commonly worn by ancient rulers, such as [[Cleopatra]], headpieces usually carry some emblem of religious or political significance.

Since I attended my first Peats Ridge Festival in 2008 I have
had a love of creating headpieces using beautiful flowers, seeds, vines and
all things natural and earthy.
I start on one and I cant stop..
The Peats Ridge just gone I couldnt just stop at one
i made one for each day i was there...
They just make me smile.
